Analyzing gases with infrared spectroscopy

OCIBorne features an ethanol and N2O sensor that uses NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) technology based on Beer-Lambert’s law to measure both ethanol and nitrous oxide (N2O) in exhaled air. This sensor emits infrared radiation through the air sample, and by analysing the amount of light absorbed by the alcohol and N2O molecules, OCIBorne accurately determines their concentration. This advanced technology offers rapid and reliable detection of the targeted substances, ensuring effective monitoring of sobriety and personal safety.
