OCISense CO2, EtOH & N2O
NDIR breath gas sensor

Miniaturized infrared spectroscopy sensors dedicated to carbon dioxide, ethanol and nitrous oxide gas measurement in breath air.

What is it?

OCISense is an advanced infrared spectrometer designed for the accurate analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in both exhaled and ambient air.  This OCISense is designed to detect and quantify CO2, ethanol and N2O molecules in breath air, offering precious insights into respiratory health and metabolic processes.

The measurement chamber of the sensor is ingeniously designed to be crossed by infrared radiation. As exhaled air flows through this chamber, the molecules of interest selectively absorb specific wavelengths of the radiation, resulting in a perceptible reduction in the optical signal. Based on the principles of Beer-Lambert’s law, the sensor accurately deduces the concentrations of these gases, providing essential data to help medical diagnosis.
